Qualified Charitable Distributions
If you are 72 or older and have an IRA, a Qualified Charitable Distribution may be made to CUMC. Such a distribution helps satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). The distribution is not included in your income and thus effectively lowers your tax bill while benefiting the church.
