A Message from Finance Committee Chair Scott Ensor
Dear CUMC Family Member,
Thank you for being an active and faithful member of our Catonsville United Methodist Church community. As Chair of the CUMC Finance Committee, I am asking that you prayerfully consider your ability to continue your financial support despite our current unprecedented circumstances.
Please know that while coronavirus health concerns and “social distancing” might preclude us from holding regularly scheduled worship services for some time, our CUMC staff and members continue to actively support those church and community members who need our help through phone, text and emails. In addition to meeting the pastoral needs of the congregation, CUMC continues to host Alcoholics Anonymous groups and Meals on Wheels. We are also continuing to to support organizations such as Catonsville Emergency Assistance, and the Night of Peace family shelter with a food collection on Saturday, 8 – 11 am. While we have ceased all non-essential Operating Fund expenses, we are still responsible for payments associated with staff, building utilities and recurring contracts totaling $38,000 per month.
These new circumstances will continue to require patience, persistence and innovation. For example, Pastor David is delivering Sunday sermons through video on our website. The website also offers the ability to easily and securely submit one-time or recurring donations. And of course checks can be mailed to:

We earnestly appreciate your ongoing support and want to let you know we’re here for you. If there’s ever anything we can do for you and your family, don’t hesitate to reach out. You are a valued member of our church family and your continued financial support is making a difference.
